In order to determine if a transmission is direct or overdrive you will need to remove the top cover and inspect the gears.
Locate your main drive gear and the next gear in succession as indicate below. If your main drive gear is larger than the next gear in succession then your transmission has overdrive. If the main drive gear is smaller than the next gear in succession then your transmission has direct drive.
