Differentials Installation Instructions

Remove, clean and inspect end yoke/yokes for spline wear. Replace if needed.
Inspect end yoke/yokes sealing surface, remove any sleeves. Surface has to polished and free from nicks and grooves. Replace if needed.
Install new or inspected yoke on to remanufactured carrier. Ensure fastener is torqued to manufacture's specification.
Completely clean the entire inside of the axle housing, differential cavity and tubes.
Remove wheel ends to ensure all contaminates are removed. Replace wheel seals.
Visually inspect the axle housing for cracks, nicks and burrs on machined surfaces.
Visually inspect axle housing mounting fasteners and threads for damage. Replace fasteners if needed.
Completely remove previous mounting sealant.
Mount the carrier using approved oil resistant RTV sealant. Do not over apply. 3/8 bead with all bolt holes circled with sealant is proper application.
Torque all fasteners to manufacture's specification.
Front Differentials Only:
Replace output seal, inspect output bearings and replace if needed.
Connect driveline, making sure all yokes are in phase.
Confirm proper air pressure is applied to engage power divider and or Differential lock.
Fill differential assembly with the proper approved lubricant to the bottom of the fill plug. Do not under fill or overfill.
