TRANSMISSIONS:

• Allison automatic transmissions;
• On-highway manual transmissions;
• Off-highway powershift transmissions.

Each transmission first goes through a two-step cleaning process: (1) all external surfaces are cleaned; and then (2) the units are disassembled to allow all internal parts to be placed in a special chemical "bath" to remove harmful contaminants such as metal shavings and other debris.

Once cleaned, all units are remanufactured by ASE certified technicians. Key steps in the remanufacturing process include:

• All seals, gaskets, friction materials, bearings, snap rings, spacers, sliding clutches, synchronizers and airline systems are discarded and replaced with new parts.

• All parts are inspected and measured with precision gauges.

• Critically loaded shafts and gears are magnafluxed.

• Planetary carriers are rebuilt.

• The unit is updated to current factory specifications.

• Valve bodies are disassembled, cleaned, resurfaced, re-assembled, and calibrated on Aidco 250 valve body testers.

• All completed transmissions are fully tested on computerized dynamometers. Testing includes (1) shift patterns; (2) shift pressures; (3) leaks; (4) gear noise; (5) converter noise; (6) hot/cold oil pressure; (7) slippage; and (8) converter flow.

• Every TransAxle remanufactured transmission comes with a nationwide warranty of one year for on-highway units and six months for off-highway units. Twenty-four month extended warranties are available for selected products. You can install any TransAxle unit with confidence.

Once the differential is cleaned, the unit is remanufactured by ASE certified technicians. Key steps in this process include:

• All bearings, seals, gaskets, o-rings, thrust washers and bushings are automatically replaced.

• All bearing bores are inspected for tolerance and out of round. Any bore not meeting spec is re-machined and sleeved. Out of spec bearing adjusters are resurfaced.

• All major parts such as gears, pinions and housings are inspected for stress and wear. Any component not meeting OEM specifications is discarded and replaced.

• After final assembly all units are inspected for proper pre-load, backlash, tooth contact pattern and run-out.

• Every TransAxle remanufactured differential comes with a nationwide twelve-month unlimited warranty. All Transaxle units can be installed with confidence.

HYDRAULIC PUMPS AND MOTORS:

The technicians in our hydraulics department have an average of fifteen years experience in piston pump and motor repair. Every technician attends factory schools each year to maintain certification.

Each hydraulic component goes through a two step process that cleans all external surfaces. After disassembly, all internal parts are placed in special chemical tanks to remove harmful contaminants such as metal shavings, varnish, or other debris.

Hydraulic pump and motor remanufacturing typically includes the following:

• All bearings, seals, o-rings and gaskets are replaced.

• All barrels, plates and piston shoes are lapped with flatness held to .0000075".

• Concave and convex barrels and plates are lapped for a matched fit.

• Shaft seal areas and shaft splines are restored to new.

• Every component part is measured against factory standards. Any part not exceeding this standard is replaced with a new one.

• All pumps are then tested to full flow and full pressure. All controls are set to match machine requirements. Excavator pumps are power matched to their machine by model and serial number.

• All motors are tested at operational speed with shaft rpm=s and case flow measured at full shaft output torque.

BRAKES:

ON-HIGHWAY: Our on-highway brake and wheel department has an extensive inventory of OEM brand components, including the latest ABS components. We carry the hard-to-find parts, including spoke wheels, brake spiders, s-cam brackets, and drums.

We also offer complete "wedge-to-cam" and "disc-to-cam" changeover kits that allow you to retrofit your vehicle with reliable s-cam brakes. These kits are packed complete to make the job simple.

Bendix: TransAxle is a major distributor of Bendix Air Brakes. Our extensive inventory includes late model TF 501, TF 550, BX 2150, TF 750, TF 1000 air compressors as well as such older models as TF 400, TF 500 and TF 600. We also carry a complete line of remanufactured valves.

Carlisle & Meritor: Our Carlisle and Meritor "stop box" brake shoe kits include all the hardware you need to not only make a brake job complete but also increase brake lining life. TransAxle's experienced parts staff will make a point of matching your vehicle with the right grade of friction.

Gunite: Brake drums, spoke wheels, hubs and automatic slack adjusters are in stock. These OEM products will keep your vehicle stopping safely and efficiently.

OFF-HIGHWAY: Our off-highway brake department remanufactures (1) disc brake calipers; (2) brake bands; (3) brake shoes; and (4) pressure converters. Our brake calipers are remanufactured and brought back to OEM specifications using new pistons and new seals. We also offer Performance Friction carbon-metallic brake pads for severe applications. We stock new brake discs, brake valves, actuators, and lever locks.
